About Me

I am currently getting my master's degree in Global and International Education from Drexel University. I also have been TESOL certified since June, 2011. I first realized how much I love communicating with people from other cultures when I studied abroad through Semester at Sea and later when I completed a summer internship in Shanghai, China. I am so happy that in the past year I have been able to begin translating this passion to ESL teaching and tutoring.

Right now I give ESL lessons via Skype to girls in Afghanistan, so I am experienced in tutoring both in person and via technology/internet. I am also experienced in tutoring college-level English. Aside from English/ESL, I feel qualified to help high school students with their college applications because I was accepted into 6 out of 6 schools I applied to (including one Ivy League school) and received merit-based scholarships to 3 of the 6.

When I am not teaching or attending graduate school, I enjoy reading, watching movies, and am slowly training for a 10 mile run this upcoming May.
