About Me

Hello! I have wanted to become an ESL teacher ever since my junior year in high school. As a result, I have been helping ESL students at Santa Monica College for two years with grammar, pronunciation, improving their conversational skills, and more. During my years at SMC, I have studied at the ESL Center by observing teachers during the winter semester and assisting tutors. Despite the knowledge I have gained from the ESL Center, I have learned much more from patiently helping ESL students outside the classroom. When I see a student suddenly understand a concept or pronounce a word correctly, I feel joyous at their triumph! Their smiles and excitement make me love teaching ESL. I am transferring this fall to UCLA, majoring in Linguistics, and will study for a teaching degree in TESL. Let's work together and have fun learning English!
