About Me
I am a student at NYU studying Psychology and Journalism. I write for NYU Local, our school's blog, and intend to become a columnist and researcher. I have a great and enduring interest in the arts and literature and I love sharing my love of great words and the joy of crafting them with other people. My experience with writing--academic/essay style, journalistic, and creative--has enabled me to help others who may struggle with finding the right words or figuring out just how to manipulate a sentence to make it sharp and interesting. Even if an individual writes well, sometimes having someone to take a fresh look and bounce ideas off of can really make a difference. I can also help my students with their studies in most high-school level classes such as AP English Language or Literature, World/US/European/Art History, Basic Science, and more. I love sparking a love for reading in my students for the pleasure that books can give one is unique and should be experienced by all. I like to introduce or deepen my student's interest in authors and playwrights like Wilde, Conan Doyle, Austen, Heller, Fry, Fitzgerald, Poe, Shelley, and more. I hope to see you soon -Ava
