About Me
Hi! My name is Sarah, and after finishing my undergraduate at Harvard, I completed a Master's in Biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Israel. My thesis was on the basic cell biology behind neurodegenerative disease; for my research, I also spent nine months as a visiting student at Princeton, authored a paper that is in review for publication in Nature magazine, and presented my work at three conferences. I am slated to start a PhD program in Biology at UCSF next fall, having deferred for a year to TEACH! I have always been involved in teaching and tutoring, through high school and college (leading a program at Harvard that tutored prison inmates), and am currently teaching with the BioBus, a state-of-the-art science lab that travels to schools all over NYC and the country to enhance science education. (Yes, it is like the Magic School Bus -- you can, if you want, call me Ms. Frizzle.)
