Hi! I love helping early readers tackle their first words, sentences, and books! I would definitely make sure your child is ready for kindergarten or help him/her catch up before school starts again in September. I've taught 1st grade, bilingual second grade, and Spanish to K & 1st grade. I currently work as a full-time nanny, while hoping to start my literacy master's in the fall. My favorite part of classroom teaching was working with students individually or in small groups while trying to make learning fun, interactive, and tailored to their needs. I highlight students' strengths in order to boost their confidence and help them make improvements where necessary, helping them conquer more challenging skills. I can't wait to meet your child and help him or her grow!
