About Me
Hello! Teaching is a pure joy for me as I watch my student's eyes light up with new comprehension of the material. Having been diagnosed with ADD as a kid, I also know the struggles of wanting to learn and having to overcome personal obstacles in order to do it, and I can serve you or your child in this. I also took many AP classes in high school, and went to a gifted elementary/jr. high school, and know what it takes to make the most of such programs. I received my BA at The Evergreen State College in Visual Art and Anthropology. I may earn a masters in teaching in the future but am not yet ready. I am currently a student of Massage Therapy and so an expert at Anatomy!
I have been tutoring friends and acquaintances in a variety of subjects since high school, because I truly enjoy sharing knowledge in a creative, passionate way. I have taught Visual Arts to children ages 7-12 at day camps, most recently Eden Village Camp. I'm an excellent communicator and quite patient. I love to learn and consider myself a life-long student, no matter what my other occupations may be!
