About Me
I have been a teacher
for over 9 years, beginning with student teaching 9th Grade English
Language Arts in a public school, 4 years of teaching all subjects in
alternative programs in juvenile treatment facilities, 3 years of
teaching literacy skills to GED-bound out of school youth, and most
recently as a math and science teacher in an alternative setting within a charter school.
My interest now is in transitioning classroom styles from large to
smaller and from traditional education to community education, and as I
begin this
transition I would like to offer my experience and skills as a tutor in any subject. I would be able to work with your existing assignments,
or carry out and design lesson plans, IEPs or any other work needed.
I am passionate about education and sharing knowledge, and I regard all learners as equals with much to share -- I will learn from you as much as you learn from me.
