About Me
Hello!
I am a Vassar College graduate with a double major in English and Africana Studies, and minor in Art History.
I have always loved teaching, and am experienced working with a wide range of subjects, from biology, art, history, to creative writing.
I have always been a dedicated student with a love of learning. For my senior thesis at Vassar College, I wrote a novel that explored sociodynamic relationships in New York State prisons. I won an award for this project.
I was also awarded a grant from Vassar to work in Mali, Africa with New York high school students as their mentor and French translator. During the project, we worked with villagers to build a coeductional school house. The experience was incredibly challenging and transformative.
Currently, I am enrolled in Columbia College for a second degree in Graphic design.
Since the age of 16, I have worked with children in a tutoring and caregiving capacity. Currently, I am working part-time as a nanny for an extraordinary little girl.
My interests include art, writing, reading, yoga, cycling, traveling, and playing soccer.
I live in Lincoln Park with my fiancee, kitten, and a fish named Frank.
I would be delighted to work with you!
