About Me

I have a BA in math and a Master's in applied math, and am I using them to make millions in high frequency trading? No! And why not? Because teaching math is way more fun, interesting, and rewarding. It also leaves me time to pursue my athletic career. I will help you to have time to do plenty of other activities instead of slaving over math books or trying to teach yourself calculus from Wikipedia (helpful, but not nearly as efficient as an expert math tutor such as myself). I'm currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the School of Education at Loyola University Chicago. I have nine years of tutoring experience, including four years of teaching experience. Most of this has been focused at the algebra and calculus levels. My Master's concentration was in statistics, and I will let you in on all of my secrets for getting straight A's in stats (hint: learn how to effectively use a TI-89 calculator). In addition, I've taught in elementary and middle schools, and I will happily tutor your kid, tween, or teen.

I know that there is no such thing as easy math. Trust me, I've been looking for it. But the truth is that all math requires thoughtfulness to learn, and compassion, patience, and skill to teach.

So, whether you're a total mathphobe or the next Andrew Wiles (if you have to look him up, you're not), I can help you become a math master. Or at least finish your homework more quickly.
