About Me
Hi,
I am a NYU Senior graduating this May with a BA in Anthropology. As an anthropology major, I am exposed to a variety of subjects that focus on cultures and most importantly, individual people. As a result, I have developed extremely good people skills. Having theses skills has made me want to tutor. I enjoy meeting a problem and together, through work with the individual student, helping him or her remedy it. I have never tutored before, but I know that my enthusiasm, creativity, and ability to form quick relationships with people is very important when it comes to teaching. In school, I learned that my best teachers were the ones who were very involved with their students. They challenged their students. This resulted in students becoming better in the subject, instead of becoming static and just doing the minimum amount of work for a passing grade. Their teaching style taught me the importance of having a constant dialogue between the student and the teacher as opposed to simple and less effective, "one-way road" style of teaching.
