About Me
Hello! I am a 23-year-old recent graduate of Stanford, where I studied Biomechanical Engineering. Growing up in Fresno, CA, where there's nothing to do nine months of the year and it's too hot to walk outside the other three, left me no option but to foster a broad range of academic and intellectual interests. Math, science, language/writing, and test-taking represent my strengths as a tutor, but I welcome other more unconventional topics with gusto. I was raised by a high school English teacher-turned-librarian mother, and her passion for sharing knowledge and the wonders of the world with others is a big part of who I am and how I approach tutoring. I truly enjoy working with individual students and helping each person develop his/her own unique strategies for success, honing skills that boost performance in the classroom and on a wider human level. Past students of mine and their parents, both in Fresno and around the Peninsula, have expressed appreciation for my ability to consistently accelerate the mastering of content and completion of classwork, and make doing so a pleasant, rewarding process. Other things I inherited from my mother include deep patience, an easy smile, and a knack for connecting with children and young adults in a friendly, respectful manner.
Thank you for your consideration. Schedule a meeting with me and you can find out whether I am the lanky white guy in the picture or, in fact, a baby of unprecedented mental aptitude and tutoring skill.
