I earned my BA from Sarah Lawrence and
in graduate study, and gained educational and communications skills over the course of a diverse work experience. My teaching jobs in settings as far afield as Guatemala, South Korea, and as a teaching assistant at SUNY Binghamton required adaptability, creativity, and cultural sensitivity. I developed a fun yet focused classroom persona that engaged students of all
ages, and learned important activity-planning and time-management skills. I have discovered
that the secret to imparting knowledge is to make it into an interesting activity that students can practice themselves
I can help you or your child with English, History, and Social Studies, as well as basic science and math. I am also available for test preparation, homework, and essay writing. Drawing on my philosophy background, I can teach you or your child basic critical thinking skills -- how to analyze and construct rational arguments.
