About Me

I have many years of full time experience tutoring Math, Physics and Chemistry, offering a steady and patient approach to helping my students achieve their academic potential. I explain challenging concepts with clarity and precision, and have taught all levels of Algebra, Trigonometry, Calculus, Physics and Chemistry at the High School, AP and College levels to many dozens of students.

Having studied physics at Cornell University, where I graduated Summa Cum Laude, and working in various engineering fields before becoming a tutor, I have a deep understanding of math and science. I know high school, AP and IB math, chemistry and physics curricula intimately, as well as their qualifying examinations.

Most importantly, however, I have broad experience relating to a wide variety of students and developing a relationship of trust and confidence with each student and his or her family. I understand how to help each student solidify their abstract reasoning skills according to their own needs and personality and together we translate these skills into effective and reliable problem solving techniques. As a result I have retained nearly all of my students for long periods of time and together we have seen dramatically increased grades and exam performance.

Working together we will identify which aspects of your subject challenge you most, and work hard through structured lessons and homework assignments to increase your grades and exam results.
